RE: H.R. 1740 is House Bill Providing Nondiscrimination Relief

Reps. Portman (R-OH) and Cardin (D-MD) introduced H.R. 1720 on May 22. The bill would make permanent the current temporary moratorium of the application of the nondiscrimination rules to state and local government plans. H.R. 1740 has 34 supporters, the two sponsors and the 32 cosponsors listed below:

The Senate relief, S. 622, was introduced by Sen. Hatch (R-UT) and Sen. Conrad (D-ND) on April 22.
